The schools are back, the roads are hectic in the mornings, but Play Resource is busy busy busy planning for Hallowe’en and more! New displays have been created with all manner of spooky characters to provide inspiration, and what's more, Christmas training workshops are ready to book into! With one of our experienced artists showing you how to make the best of the scrap and shop products available in the centre, it pays to plan ahead.

We are pleased to announce a new range of products that includes: flower pots, paint-your-own piggy banks, mini-mugs and canvas pencil cases. Why not decorate a seasonal mug for Mum or Dad and fill with sweets, or decorate your own 'back to school' pencil case?
For an easy activity, masks are always a hit with most age groups, and our prices are very competitive in comparison to high street retailers! Here are a few examples of what we stock:

Staff in the shop are always thinking seasonally to allow members time to plan budgets and activities in advance. Hallowe’en stock is now available with all the usual favourites and some new additions.

This autumn Play Resource are running three Arts Training Workshops geared at the most popular Christmas themes! Cost is £20 per person to members, £30 per person to non-members. From decorations to early years crafts, there is something for everyone.

‘Quick Ideas for Christmas’ with artist Anna O’Kane, Time 10am – 1pm

‘Early Years Christmas’ with artist Sally Young, Time 1.30pm – 4.30pm
If you are working with children or young people, and wish to improve your arts and crafts skills, or gain ideas to bring back to your groups, then these are the workshops for you. Don't delay - our training programmes are very popular, so book now to avoid disappointment!

ART EXHIBITIONS
DID YOU KNOW….That Play Resource can provide facilities for displaying children’s artwork? Recent exhibitions have included exciting work from groups such as Clic Sargent and Quaker Cottage, and we welcome any requests from members. We can accommodate exhibitions in our spacious training room or ideas gallery.

LAST CHANCE TO BOOK:
Stacey Kilpatrick of s.a.k. Designs has a limited number of places left on her 'Introduction to Face Painting' course that will take place on Monday 13th September.
The course runs from 10am - 4pm and covers all the basics of face painting at beginner level. Full contact details can be viewed in the attached flyer.
