Welcome to April at Play Resource. Once again the shop will not disappoint during the busy month ahead with Easter and a Royal Wedding on the horizon! It is packed with bright displays and Quick Ideas to help plan your group activities.

Book now to secure your free place on our Summer Arts Training Workshops! To celebrate 25 Years of funding by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Play Resource is running one day with two free Creative Outdoor Play workshops on Thursday 26 May.

We have plans to take the not-for-profit Play Resource Art & Play Shop online! Please help us create the best possible shopping experience by taking time to complete our quick questionnaire.

The Quick Ideas are in full supply, as well as all the products you need for Easter and any Royal Wedding Celebrations planned. Just unveiled is the Kings and Queens display in honour of the royal wedding, to give you some fun ‘regally’ themed arts & craft activities! Creative Paths Arts Programme

Due to limited numbers only one place is available per group – choose am or pm! Booking is essential. If you wish to attend please complete the Summer Training Booking form 2011 and return it to Play Resource by Wednesday 18 May. For more details just  download the booking form.

This month saw the culmination of an exciting 6 week Creative Paths Arts Project with 6 Belfast based Special Schools who all created their own short animation film themed on 'Celebration'. Member to Member News

An additional workshop has been added to the programme of training events for artists run by Visual Artists Ireland. The Imagination Box Workshop will be held at Play Resource on Friday 13 May . Run by artist Jim Russell, it is aimed at artists working with groups wanting to develop their creative ideas using a range of recycled materials. Belfast City Council invites you to a free workshop to help you revamp your wardrobe and restyle your home! The Waste Management team makes minimizing waste fun in a new series of workshops in local community centres – reinvent clothes, soft furnishings and furniture by learning new skills. Have fun stitching, embellishing, revamping and refashioning items at these Rethink Waste Workshops.
