Welcome to July at Play Resource! Summer scheme and festival preparations are well under way amongst our member groups, and we aim to support all your activities. Stock up on FREE scrap materials, and visit our shop for art and craft ideas to suit your budget.

The popular BMC Community Arts and Craft Training Course OCN Level 2 is back at Play Resource this September, delivered by accomplished artist Anna O’Kane.
The aim of this course is to build artistic skills, confidence, develop creativity and generate new ideas for those working (or wishing to) work with community groups. Level 2 units include ‘Materials Exploration & Design – Mosaic’ (Module A), and ‘Mixed Media Painting & Sculpture’ (Module B). There are no formal entry requirements.
Duration of the course is 12 weeks, with full details (including fees) available in the course flyer.

Volunteering Opportunities – MELA International Arts Festival 2010, Botanic Gardens, 28th and 29th of August.
Looking for something exiting and fun this summer? Volunteering for MELA Festival will give you that and much more!
The Belfast Mela festival is the largest multicultural festival in Ireland. It showcases a multitude of cultures, crafts, dance styles, arts and food from across the globe to over 12,000 people annually.
There are plenty of opportunities to match with your skills and interests. Opportunities include: events management, hospitality, art assistant, art workshop facilitator, stage management, team leaders, customer service.
If you want to join the team and have some free time to attending training please email volunteer@artsekta.org.uk to register your interest and receive a volunteer form.
